Terms & Conditions

Once you’ve chosen a program, please take a moment to review the terms and conditions, as your booking is contingent upon the conditions outlined below. Making a payment for a reservation for any Peru Amazon Trips program or tour signifies acceptance of all the terms in the Booking Terms & Conditions provided here, which are applicable to all tours.

Booking Procedures (Deposit)

The itinerary may be altered due to weather conditions or at the request of the group.
Peru Amazon Trips is not liable for any loss or damage to clients’ personal belongings, nor for any resulting consequences.
We are unable to assume responsibility for illness or accidents. Should you fall ill or have an accident, all associated costs and responsibilities are yours.
Clients are accountable for any equipment borrowed, and will be required to reimburse the full cost of any damage or loss upon return to Cusco.
Clients confirm their physical and mental fitness. Peru Amazon Trips cannot be held responsible for any consequences if this condition is not met.

Booking Procedures (Deposit)

Please contact us before making any payment. A 50% deposit per person for the selected program is required at the time of booking. This deposit is non-refundable if the client cancels. By making this deposit, you enter into a contract with Peru Amazon Trips, and we will then accept and confirm the booking. Please note that travel arrangements are only confirmed once confirmed in writing by Peru Amazon Trips.

The 50% pre-payment can be made through WESTERN UNION, PAYPAL, or online payments. The transfer should be made in the name of a staff member of Peru Amazon Trips.

Palotoa Amazon Travel will not cover any bank taxes or transfer fees. All transfer costs must be borne by the client.

Payment of Final Balance

The program price is quoted in U.S. dollars. We ask that you settle your final balance at our office at least 24 hours prior to your tour. We accept cash in Peruvian soles or American dollars, as well as Visa (with an 8% commission charge).

The agreed-upon program price per person is confirmed at the time of booking and will remain fixed; there will be no price adjustments up or down.

Cancellation by you

If you need to cancel your booking, please notify Peru Amazon Trips in writing. Please be aware that the deposit is non-refundable. It is advisable to state the reason for cancellation, as it may be covered by your insurance policy.

If cancellation notification is received more than 15 days before departure, the client will forfeit the 50% deposit. For cancellations made between 15 to 7 days before departure, 50% of the tour price will be refunded only if the full amount has been paid in advance. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before departure will not be eligible for any refund, including cancellations of only part of the tour.

Cancellation / Changes by us

In cases beyond our control, such as technical issues, weather conditions, strikes, riots, or government decisions, Peru Amazon Trips will propose alternative solutions to carry out the program or provide comparable travel arrangements, but refunds will not be issued. We reserve the right to adjust the itinerary as necessary. While we strive to maintain the original program, changes may occur.

If significant changes are necessary, we will attempt to notify you before the departure date and offer suitable alternative arrangements. Any additional expenses incurred will be the responsibility of the client.

Please note that Peru Amazon Trips is not liable for reimbursing additional costs incurred by clients in preparing for the tour, including international tickets, visa fees, vaccinations, and other related expenses.

In the event of cancellation by Peru Amazon Trips, a full refund of 100% of your payment will be provided.

Acceptance of Risk

Some of Peru Amazon Trips itineraries have been crafted to offer participants an authentic experience of the visited environment, involving inherent risks such as physical or emotional injury, paralysis, death, or damage to the client’s property or to third parties. The client acknowledges that these risks are integral to the nature of the activity and cannot be completely eliminated without compromising its fundamental aspects.

By participating in the tour, the client confirms awareness of their physical and health condition, and willingly assumes these risks associated with the tour.

The client agrees to release Peru Amazon Trips from any liability related to accidents or injuries that may occur during the tour.

Authority on Tour

The decisions made by the company’s guide or representative regarding any matters that could jeopardize the safety and welfare of the tour group are final at all times. Clients are required to follow the guide’s instructions without exception.

Clients must strictly adhere to the laws and drug regulations of Peru throughout the tour. Failure to comply with these regulations or any behavior that disrupts the well-being of the group may result in the guide or company representative instructing the client to leave the tour immediately, without any entitlement to a refund.

Travel Documents

The client must be in possession of a valid passport. The original document or at least a copy has to be carried in the tour.

Travel Insurance

We highly recommend obtaining travel insurance that includes coverage for accidents, medical expenses, emergency repatriation (including rescue and air ambulance services), as well as cancellations and loss of luggage.

Third Party Services

Peru Amazon Trips directly operates part of the services included in a program but also makes arrangements with airlines, hotels, and other independent parties to provide you with the travel services you purchase. We do take all reasonable steps to ensure that organizations providing services maintain our quality standards. However, these parties are independent suppliers over whom we have no direct full control.

Peru Amazon Trips can therefore not accept any liability for any losses, damages, inconveniences, delays etc.

Claims and Complaints

If a client has a complaint, they should first inform the guide so that efforts can be made to resolve the issue promptly. Any further complaints must be submitted in writing to the company within 7 days after the conclusion of the tour.

Claims or disputes shall be exclusively handled in Cusco, Peru, and resolved under Peruvian Law, with jurisdiction vested in its courts.

Damage claims against Peru Amazon Trips are limited to the value of the specific item in dispute. The company’s liability is restricted to the total price paid for the tour. The company explicitly disclaims any responsibility for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses or expenses, including loss of profits, in all cases.
