Itinerary tour
Cusco to Sacred Valley of the Incas
Firstly, at 08:00 AM, we will be picking you up from your hotel in the City of Cusco. We will then embark on a 45 minutes drive to a charming Andean village, Chincheros.
Chinchero
Locals here are popular for handicrafts, so, if you’re looking for a souvenir, this might be your chance, however, another stop with similar goods still awaits for us during this tour!
Secondly, we will be visiting the archaeological complex which was once the summer capital of Incas. Emperor Pachacutec built a beautiful Royal Palace here. It was demolished on Spanish conquest and a Cathedral was built on its remains.
Ollantaytambo
Following, for our tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, we will be driving you to Ollantaytambo. To the Incas, Ollantaytambo was an administrative capital. During Pachacutec’s rule, the village saw rapid development.
Then, we will be giving you a guided tour of the complex. Today, Ollantaytambo is the jump-off point to visit Machu Picchu and is the closest major town to the trailhead of Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.
Urubamba
Once you have had your fill of this beautiful village, we will be driving you to Urubamba for lunch. To enhance your local experience, we will be serving you a traditional Andean buffet lunch.
Pisaq
After lunch, we will be driving you to the town of Pisac. Here we will be visiting the archaeological complex that is nestled on a hilltop overlooking the valley. The complex is massive and is just second to Machu Picchu in size.
We will then visit the main square which is home to a traditional market. You will be able to buy some souvenirs at a cheap price.
After this, we will be driving you back to Cusco city. We will be dropping you off at Plaza Regocijo, a block away from the main square, Plaza de Armas.
