Manu Expeditions Peru Details
Manu National Park Tours from Cusco

The Manu National Park tours from Cusco are one of the most preferred Manu Expeditions Peru. It is the best of the Manu National Park, the heart of the Peruvian Amazon Rainforest.

Primarily because of its close proximity to Cusco which allows travelers to experience the largest rainforest in the world before or after their tour to Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu.

This four days 3 nights Amazon tour takes you deep into the cloud forest and lowland regions. Here you will be able to spot some distinct species of flora and fauna. Accompanied by our local English-speaking naturalist guide you will have an overview of the pristine areas of the Manu National Park.

Manu National Park is massive, it is spread over 1,532,806 hectares. The national park is home to 32 native indigenous Quechua-speaking communities. These are uncontacted tribes. It is divided into three zones – Reserved Zone, Cultural Zone, and Core Zone.

Manu Rainforest begins at 4100 meters above sea level (13450 feet) and descends to 350 meters (1150 feet).

Access to the Manu biosphere reserve or the reserved zone is limited to the researchers. Most jungle tours to Manu National Park take place at the Cultural zone which is also home to the native communities.

In 1977, Manu Tropical Forest was recognized as the world heritage site by UNESCO.

Extremely well organised tour from Cusco. We saw a large number of birds as well as animals over our four day trip.
One of the highlights was a night in their camouflage house where you get to experience the jungle in a very unique way. This is right next to a clay lick that attracts a lot of wildlife. We saw Tapirs, porcupines a deer and a snake.
Every part of the trip ran like a clockwork from the staff in their office to the driver and the boat captian through to the lodge staff who made a great meal and to the guides who were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Highl recimmended this tour for any one looking for a real Amazon Experience.

By far this was the best trip we had in Peru. We visited the Amazon Jungle and had a first hand experience with locals there. The guide and the community shared many thought provoking facts and stories. We saw many animals and plants and trees. A good value for the money we paid

The guides were very attentive and good at spotting aniumals and birds. I wish i had more time to explore more regions of Amazon with such informative guides, certainly will choose them if I am back in Peru.
